Square &*#!%@ One On &*#!%@ Mash &*#!%@ Tun

I have a bottom draining converted keg MT and love it. FB from brewhardware.com, Never had it try to float. My grains go in first, then underlet my strike water slowly, stirring only after all the grain is completely submerged. The let the grain bed set and never touch again. I continually...

    Things you shouldn't do...

I have a float switch in my Kettle, wired in such a way that if my element switch is on the pump will shut off and alarm sounds before the element is uncovered. It’s not totally idiot-proof, but eliminates the most common dry-fire scenario.

    K-RIMS build question

My 2 vessel k-rims. Temp prob is in Kettle outlet plumbing. I also have one in the side of the BK that I can select via a simple toggle switch on my panel. I control flow via the 2 ball valves at the top of both keggles. I have a float switch in the bk that cuts off the bk pump so I don’t have...

Feedback for my 2 vessel eRims system design

I also have a 2-vessel system. I use the BK as the RIMS heater, It works great to control mash temps. It does require a 2nd pump though. check it out here. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=589650 For 10 gallon batches, I sparge with filtered tap water at whatever temp it happens to...

    Moe's 2 vessel brewery

I've been suspicious that my keezer has some cold/warm spots. The carbonation temp/ co2 pressure charts never seemed to work for me. So one day I poured a beer and immediately stuck a thermometer into it, it was 46°. So the 33° setting results in beer carbonated just right, pours a nice head and...

    Moe's 2 vessel brewery

I start with about 13 or 14 gallons in the boil kettle, heat it up to roughly 6 or 8 degrees above the mash temp. Once it's at temperature I pump 8 or 9 gallons into the MT from from the bottom of the MT(with the grains in already). This eliminates dough balls. I stir it for a few minutes, then...

    Moe's 2 vessel brewery

So I have built and am brewing on my new electric 2-vessel system for nearly a year now, and I'd like to share it with this community. First off, a bit of my brewing background. I brewed on a very simple and cheap BIAB system with a Wilser bag in a 53 qt non-ported kettle for about 3 years. All...

    PID's alarm output question

I'm currently building a 2 vessel Brutus or Blichmann breweasy type if system. The control panel is the typical biab-style single pid but I've got support for 2 pumps as well as a switch to select between either vessels temp probe. I have it practically done, and now I have an idea that I...

    Keezer build

Are you running the fans all the time? Or do they cycle on with the temp controller? I have this freezer too. Currently I ferment in it but it'll be my keezer soon.

    Calculating pre-boil vol by weight?

I do need to make marks on a spoon for measuring volume. My kettle is a very simple 53qt pot with no holes in it. I don't want to clean anything extra like valves, dip tubes etc. That is until I build my bottom draining E-keggle Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
