    Peaches!!!

    I heated the peaches up to about 170... Then I chilled to room temp.67 or so..... Then I racked on top for 14 days..... It'll be ready aug1... Got my fingers crossed! Lol thanks for the interest....

    Boil times

    It does not.... Speaking with a local brewer and doing a little more reading... The longer boil times also have to do with the size of the grain bill.... Thank you for your reply!! This is such an amazing source of information for beginners like myself and the input is appreciated......

    Brewing my second all grain this weekend.... The recipe for the pale ale I'm planning to brew calls for a 90 minute boil..... My first brew,an amber. Which turned out great only called for 60 mins... Why the extra 30 min?

    Hey fellow brewers..... I have a 10 gallon rubber made cooler and a false bottom.... I'm pretty sure of the stuff I need to complete... Yet the only videos I've seen use a 5 gallon set up...... I would like to know if the hardwares different size wise? I.e..... The ball valve and hose barbs...

    Thanks for the advice.... I have a different rig in mind.... I'll post pictures and hardware list when it's complete... Basically I'm gonna drill a hole in the top of the mash tun lid and run tubing through attached to a shower like apparatus that will be attached to the inside of the lid...

    Help!

    It's just the original cooler..... On the lid I would like to attach the lautering hardware.... Tubing or something with holes that will allow the sparge water to gently flow over the grain... Then I assume I will have to drill a hole in the lid to attach that hardware to the 5gallon cooler...

    Yup.... I've seen lots of stuff to make them with the stainless steel refrigerator hose.... But nothing with the false bottom.... Plus I'd like to set up the lid of the cooler for lautering...as well as the 5 gallon one as the tank.... So yes.. Lol... A list of hardware or somewhere to find said...

    first batch; fermentation slowing down

    After racked to the carboy for two weeks... Then beer is racked to bottling bucket???? Why not skip the carboy all together and secondary right in the bottling bucket?? Seems to me it would cut down on the chance of contamination by one less rack.. Sorry if these questions are stupid...
