    White Labs Yeast Vault

Yeah, it's $3/vial. Kinda steep to be paying $9+ for a vial and I wish they could throw in some 001 or something to make it more worth it but hey, it's not everyday you get to try these strains right?

    White Labs Yeast Vault

Apparently White Labs is not allowing homebrewers to order yeast if enough people sign up to receive it. Check it out here: https://www.whitelabs.com/yeast-vault I've already ordered WLP835 German Lager X and WLP640 Brett Anomalus I, join in with these strains if you wanna make some malty...

    Advice: WLP644 Saccharomyces "Bruxellensis" Trois

Use fruity hops like Amarillo, Citra, Galaxy, et al with this yeast, it really brings out those hops. Don't waste this yeast with no hops.

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

The thread, as I intended it to be was supposed to be about things that are troublesome in the homebrewing world, at least to me. People really seem to harp on about the savings from homebrewing but these arguments don't hold water. Homebrewers seem to be very proud of the fact that they can...

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

You're right...I have gained a ton of insight from this forum and others but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on the quality of homebrew out there. People must care what I have to say if this post is on its 6th page. If what I was saying was meaningless there wouldn't be so much...

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

Everything in my setup has been cobbled together but for a lot more than a hundred dollers. Plus, the cold side is where the beer is made and temperature controllers and fridges are needed for that.

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

I knew that there would be a lot of blowback to my post but I stand by it. On the cost issue I feel that after all of the money I've spent getting the necessary equipment to brew good beer I will never recoup that money. A few thousand dollers will buy an awful lot of Lagunitas. Never mind the...

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

"All homebrew is good homebrew" is a terrible lie. When I first started out my beer sucked ass, I poured it straight down the drain and I got working on how to improve it. I would never turn that **** loose on some poor person. Presenting terrible homebrew to the non-homebrewing pubic sucks for...

    Things I Hate about Homebrewers

I love the hobby of homebrewing more than any other activity but sometimes it can get kind of overbearing and downright annoying. For that reason I've decided to compile a list of the things I hate about homebrewers in no particular order .Really my only goal is get people to think about their...

    Should I Dump It?

I was harvesting yeast out of my better bottle after kegging so I made the brilliant decison to squirt down the neck of the better bottle with some isopropyl alcohol. I let it dry for about a minute but there was still some on there. Then I poured the yeast out without drying the opening first...

    Belgian Dubble

Looking to try my hand at making a Belgian Dubbel and also want to attempt to craft my own recipe since the style seems open to interpretation. The above numbers are what BeerSmith gave me. What does everyone think of the malt & hop bill? Grain: 10 lb. Pale 2-Row 0.50 lb. Special B 1.00...

    Alaska Perseverance Imperial Stout Clone

Wow this recipe looks oh so good...I've been looking for a stout to brew and this looks like a great candidate. Just by googling some of the ingredient names I can tell that this would be a VERY expensive beer to brew, but I'll spend as much as it takes to brew a great beer. Any secondary on...
