CO2 Leak - Can I use pipe joint compound?

That is good news. After seeing that it was just a threaded piece I pulled it out cleaned it well, sanitized it, coated it with keg lube and I can not hear the leak at all. I took a photo of the gauge and will check it again in a few hours. If it keeps pressure then I will let it go over night...

CO2 Leak - Can I use pipe joint compound?

With everything about 30psi I did finally find a little bubble action in two spots. This time I tested every joint and and not just those after the regulators. The first small leak that I found was where the tank valve screws into the tank. I took a little video of it and am expecting the...

CO2 Leak - Can I use pipe joint compound?

My keezer build is on hold but i did get the temperature controler installed so I could use it with the picnic taps until I get to the fancy wood build. I have a dual regulator, one to carb with and the other leads to a 3 port distribution block. I have only had 2 ball lock kegs in use so far...

My Kenmore 8.8cf coffin keezer build

Sorry guys, I am beside myself at this point. I have not been able to work on this keezer since I gathered all the goodies. My business is going crazy and I am doing about triple was I was this time last year. I hired a few people to help me out but my schedule is relentless until maybe October...

My Kenmore 8.8cf coffin keezer build

Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that I have not forgotten you. I just do not have anywhere near as much free time as I thought I would so far this winter and now the Holidays are here too. That means business is good but I have not been able to start the keezer...

    Beer review phone APP

I am not sure if any of you here are using the phone app Pintley but I just checked it out tonight while drinking with some old friends and new at the local watering hole. Sign up for a FREE account | Pintley Not really a home brew APP but I think most of us drink other beers too. Review the...

Cake pan + skateboard wheel + bike brakes = homemade peristaltic pump??

You sir are correct. I took a closer look today and the walls are slightly concave and closely match the convex shape of the rollers. I wonder why I noticed the rollers and not the walls before?

Cake pan + skateboard wheel + bike brakes = homemade peristaltic pump??

I am not sure of the exact reason why but the rollers on my professional peristaltic pumps that I use at work are convex and not concave. I am thinking it has something to do with the folding over of the tubing at the top and bottom being thicker when collapsed. I just thought I would put it out...

My Kenmore 8.8cf coffin keezer build

I had a pretty busy week at the warehouse so I did not get anything done but I just grabbed the 2x4's and plywood for the base and frame and ordered the casters and LED light strip. I should have some time next week to start getting the frame together. Totals: 1 Kenmore 8.8cf chest freezer...

    96% efficiency tonight

Of course there was beer involved. I usually have a couple beers while bowling but only two over the evening because it is a long ride home and I do not need any trouble. It was Sam Adams Lager for those who are interested. There is not a great selection at the bowling alley bar. Thanks. I...

    96% efficiency tonight

In bowling that is... threw 10 strikes in a row and then got stuck with a wobbly and stubborn 7 pin to end up with a 288. Not bad for a guy with a 158 average this season.

Cake pan + skateboard wheel + bike brakes = homemade peristaltic pump??

This is a much more stable design in my opinion because the axial load on the drive shaft is basically equalized. I use a modified smaller medical peristaltic pump to fill bottles in my warehouse and have even considered making a few of my own from scratch as production demands rise. The ones I...
