Obsessively refreshing my inbox for my scoresheets now... lol. San Diego. Neither of my entries advanced but I thought they were pretty solid and I'm dying to see what the judges thought.
It's funny... my non-brewer friends are always saying they don't have the patience to brew and wait weeks for a beer, but that's not a problem for me (even bottle conditioning). Waiting on NHC results every year, though, is another story... I can't deal at all.
Yeah, that was great, thanks. I've got 2 entries in at San Diego for judging this weekend - American Porter and American Stout (my first BIAB). Probably the best couple of beers I've made, so I've got fingers crossed.
I emailed John Moorhead about it this morning - he says the San Diego score sheets were mailed out over a week ago, should be showing up any time.

Hey, that's pretty cool. I haven't seen this one before. Price isn't too bad, considering it comes with the nylon carrying straps. I may order one of these to try it out. Thanks for the tip!
Will definitely cover the glass if I can find a clear fermenter that will fit. The setup has been working fine with the buckets, but I find myself wanting to peek a lot because I can't tell what's going on with the fermentation.
