So, it’s been almost two years since my last brew day. I never used to understood how people would talk about “not having time” to brew. Now i get it.
I’m going to do a double batch of a stout. Half I’m going to leave alone and the other half I’m going to add into a whiskey 3 year old whiskey...
I go 1.25-1 then sparge to 7-7.5 then boil to 6-6.5
What I used to use in the apartment was :
Mash in a boil kettle, then pour into a 5 gallon bucket )I drilled with holes) that was inside my bottling bucket
Have my sparge water that I have heating up on the stove in a bunch of pots and slowly...
So i have a three way valve and was wondering if you can convert it to a four way by taking the screw off the end and put a fourth valve on.

My og was 1040 and i changed the hop schedule to .25oz at 60/.75oz at 15 with .30 oz of toasted, cracked coriander and .75oz sea salt, whirlfloc tab, yeast nutrient

Upon further review, I will not be making a sour.
I'm very comfortable with brewing beer but I'm not comfortable with what all has to go into make the sour.. high temp ferment.. souring bacteria.. not being able to use my plastic again etc.

Just wondering if anyone uses the beer tools program. I am looking into getting it but wasn't sure if it works in multiple divides or just the one you buy it on.
