North Carolina 10 Gallon Igloo Mash Tun

Hello! I have a ten gallon igloo, set up as a mash tun. I am full on BIAB and I am looking to get this in the hands of someone who can use it! I am asking 30$ OBO. Near Jacksonville, eastern NC. Thanks! Garrett

    Question about missing OG....

Thanks RM-MN, I am sorry that left out the small detail that the 6 gallons was post boil volume! I will see about giving the carboy a little rock and get some of the yeast up off the bottom. Thanks!

    Question about missing OG....

Greetings, I hate to ask this question, but my OCD won't let go. This is my first stout and my first attempt at a high gravity beer. I brewed this recipe, stepping it up from 3 to 5 gallons: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f68/southern-tier-mokah-clone-364313/ I completely missed my OG...

    NOOB Sanke User here

So, as I am impatient and could not wait to get a glass of the Mokah Stout I had in the keg, I went ahead with the install. :tank: I first added these adapters. They are a one piece converter which allows for easy one and off of ball lock connections. I got them to not leak too bad...

    NOOB Sanke User here

Sorry for the delay in getting these up. Life seems to get in the way of beer. Here is a picture of the bottom of the coupler. This is where I am curious to know if I should have a probe seal or not. I have also added some other pictures of the tap with the seals I bought. I...

    NOOB Sanke User here

Hello, I have a quick question or two about Sanke Couplers. I have looked for the answer, but I cant find it. My coupler doesn't look like it has room on the probe for an additional seal. Do all models need one? Also, do you have to have the flapper valve on the CO2 inlet? I know...

    Refurbishing an older tap

So I haven't got BLC yet, but I wanted to show the tap and coupler. Are these still salvageable? I like old things but the brass is showing through. Do I need to be worried about it? Can i drive one with these? I am attaching some pics of the parts for you all to see. Garrett

    Refurbishing an older tap

Happy New Year! I recently found an older Sanke Coupler with a fauacet attached. I picked it up for $20 and got it home, discovering that it needed complete replacement of all seals, etc. The Faucet also needs the same TLC. I have no problem doing it, in fact, this is what I like to do. I...

All my batches have a "hot" off taste . . .

reim0027, I had the same problem for a while, especially after I switched to all grain, full volume boils. My aftertaste issues went away when I started using an O2 kits. I was shaking my carboys as best I could, but I wasnt getting enough oxygen into the chilled wort (wimpy arms :o) FWIW...

Thrown Stir Bar - in water

I had the same problem and went through a couple of stir bars trying to figure it out. I have a square shaped stir bar that works great on my 2000 ml flask. It has a concave bottom and the square side prevent it from being thrown.
