No not really. I copied the recipe from Clone Brews and picked up ingredients at my LBHS. Followed directions to the tee. It was an extract brew with steeped grains. Extract was Muntons Light DME.
Just brewed this stout. O.G. Was low. 1.40. Should of been around 1.5. What happened? How will the brew turn out? This is the second stout that I have had problems with. Not sure what is going on. All me other brews come out dead on.

So I am wondering if I didn't use enough yeast. The last post says 1/4 packet for 2 liters. I used a 1/2 packet for 2.5 gal. The directions stated 1 packet for 5 gal.

Ive been making beer without any carbonation issues. Thought I would make my kids some soda and used a Rainbow Flavors extract from the brew supply store and a champagne yeast. It has been two weeks and I popped a bottle today and it flatter than flat. Any suggestions?
