    Danger of Hops to Dogs

I know this thread is old, but I just went through an ordeal with my female black lab. I had a tin of hop extract outside and unbeknownst to me someone had taken it off the table that it had been on for months and put it on the ground. My black lab started panting hard like she had sprinted...

California 4 tap kegerator with co2 tank

I am located in North County San Diego (Oceanside) and I am moving to Vista in a few days. I picked this kegerator up from Booze Brothers Brewing right before they went commercial and were selling their home variety gear/equipment. I've not used it very much over the past 2 years as I'm not a...

    Stout Tap won't run

Yah need to bust it open and see what's going on. The diffuser plate can get clogged super easy as it's only a few little holes. I had the same issue when I got my stout tap.

Shameless episode last night *may contain spoilers*

I saw it and my inner geek was offended by how incorrect the set up was.

Looking for advice on how to handle a 'code monkey' situation

I haven't read through all of the posts, but from what I did read you've gotten plenty of sound advice. In my experience with dealing with the man, it's usually best to just take the path of least resistance and make them go away. It's usually money or some box that needs checked and it...

Phrases that need to die a quick, excruciating death

This has been a recent discovery of mine as well. I'm 33 years old and I'm just now hearing this term for the first time a couple of months back. I'm told it means a hoe or slutty girl. I know every generation has their phrases or words that are nonsense but is used all the time, but this one...

About to give in...Need your help and support please

Personally, I would ditch the bleach. Between oxyclean and starsan I have all I need to keep the bad stuff away. When I first started I was so paranoid about infections that I got myself into the habit of constantly reapplying starsan to everything before, during and after the brew. If...

About to give in...Need your help and support please

When have you cleaned your drying tree? Just a thought, you could unwittingly infecting your bottles with the tree. In any case, at some point you have to start the process of elimination. Buy a couple brand new bottles see if you still get it, use the glass carboy, check, so on...

Calling all math geeks: Force carbonation math!

I'm not math geek, but I do know a thing or two about boyles law from scuba diving. Seems to me there's something there you should look into. Also, I used the magical space aged google machine and found another site that seemingly has it all figured out...

Sanitizing with only oxyclean and star san?

Pretty much what I just got done doing with one carboy and 3 kegs this past weekend. My personal rule is to always sanitize before using as well. If the piece of equipment seems dirty or dusty from sitting in my garage regardless of how recent I went through my cleaning process, I clean it...
