Hi all I don't know if this has been asked before (I couldn't find anything on the search) but I see on a forum over here in the UK about yeast washing and it confused me.
They was talking about wether to add pre boiled water to the yeast cake or not. I've just brought my jars and will be washing my London w yeast from my batch at the weekend. I don't know wether to just pour the trub into the jars or add water? What do most people do? Cheers in advanced.

If you are making the same styles of beer, washing is a great thing to do. Look at recipes that you like and see if you can see e three or four types of yeast that you go to the most.
