I just LOVE using StarSan in my airlocks. They make a little chirping noise as the bubbles come through the little holes in the three-piece airlock cap, kind of like a tree frogs after a nice summer rain. I can hear fermentation before even getting to the fermentation room.

As a matter of fact, I'm listening to my fermenters(3) 'sing' for me right now!

I love Star San too but...

You have GOT to be druck.

I have not yet begun to be druck!!!

Seriously, I haven't a drop all night. I'm just in a mood to post obvious topics.

:p

Some thing kind of soothing walking down into the brewery to hear the blow off burping it's C02 serenade.

Cheers

I have a tradition of putting single malt scotch in my airlocks....and I am druck...or druckishly buzzed on a work night.

BTW, the scotch is not wasted. It is a savored shot at the beginning of every bottling or kegging session. For me, it's all about the shuns...replication, sanitation and tradition.
