Orb-weaver? We have a few different ones out here.

Sorry if I already posted, but found this little wolf spider in the garage a week or so ago.

I'm guessing that's the actual game show contestant hoping his guess on how many whacks to the nutz the performer can take was correct...
You are assuming that there is some logical connection between the various things appearing on the screen. I do not see that such an assumption is justified by the evidence. [emoji23]

I'm in for a buck.

A number of years ago I was hosting a group of 10 Chinese professors of English...they were here to improve their foreign language skills as well as learn about American culture. I was their host for a month.

As part of our itinerary, and to show them a particular side of America, I took them to a Casino. I told everyone to bring a single dollar bill so we could lose it in the one-arm bandits.

So, we get in, it's all very weird, and we finally find the slots. The first one puts her dollar in the slot machine, presses the button and.....$20 win! This is not going my way. I'm intending to show them how we separate fools from their money and it's not happening.

Well. You've never seen so many people pushing to be the next one to put their dollar in the money machine! The second one lost the dollar, then the third, but the fourth one to put in a dollar won $8. Now I really have a problem as they're checking their wallets and purses for extra singles.

In the end, 3 won something, 7 lost their dollar, and I was forced to conclude I'm not as smart as I thought I was.

it qualifies as random we were talking about IPA!
I always gargle whiskey after basement work.
Saw that and got an extra drink just to be safe...
Yeah, in that case it's better to swallow then spit into the sink.
i hope it was homebrew, might have to be clandestine...look like the wicked witch of the wizard of oz.....

and this is a chemical in mouthwash, staying random...

interesting choices Facebook offers when asking why you hid an ad

I actually hid it, because I do that to every ad I come across on Facebook

but, the ad "KNOWS TOO MUCH" ? that's kinda creepy

knows too much.jpg

I also hide the Facebook groups/pages/people that my FB friends share. I want to hear about their lives, not what current political meme they've glommed onto today.

I have a FB app that hides political discussions, and that worked fairly well for a time. Now, unfortunately, people post those memes and gif-text things that the app can't read, and now I see them.

I've told one friend exactly what you said: I want to hear about your life, not your political opinions. I'm on the verge of unfollowing him.

I use the F.B.Purity browser add-in on my computer. I couldn't stomach FB without it. It lets me completely hide the FB "news" pane, filter by type (memes, food photos, etc.), and filter by keyword. My keyword filter list includes the names of politicians, political parties, and other annoying things that I just don't want in my FB feed. On average it filters out 9 posts for every one it lets through.

It's not available as a phone app. So I deleted FB from my phone, and only check FB when I'm on my computer. Problem solved.
