Most fermentation is ugly.

I always love when I use S-04 yeast, the fermentation is always steady and purty. ALways looks like a toasty muffin.
 
This one is Bell's ale yeast from Two-Hearted ale.
 
Nice yeast cake. I would have to say recently I pitched a cider yeast onto my fresh apple cider and it was a gorgeous cake similar to that one. I love the yeasties!
