Plastic after taste

So I made an attempt at a mulled hard cider. It's not bad I do need to adjust some ratios still to get it right. But for some reason it leaves a hint of plastic on the back end. Not sure could something be wrong with equipment or my recipe. Has this happened to anyone else?

Is plastic involved at all in your process? Do you have more details on what exactly you did?

The only plastic is in the syphon tube and syphon. Just a basic cider, used apple juice, brown sugar, some cloves and cinnamon.

Cloves are very very easy to overdo. Like one clove in several gallons might be too much. If you used more than that it could be the culprit.
