Hi folks, going to try to do a 2.5 gallon batch of this..
http://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrec...rn-river-brewing-company-cybi-podcast-version.

However, the ibus are coming up higher than the beer smith podcast recipe shows I worked this up at brewers friend.. http://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/247012/kern-river-d-i-p-a

Can someone chime in with suggestions on the IBUs. Also this is a BIG beer, should I make a starter or is one pack of us05 good enough for 2.5 gallons on 8%abv ?

Was also wondering if us05 would be OK or should I get a vial of west coast ale yeast and make a starter?

Any ideas?

I posted a reply in the other thread you made with the same question. Just FYI, check that one
