I am looking at the following 2 chillers on the nybrewsupply site. I've been trying to see what the difference is between the two and the only thing I can tell is that the coil spacing is different
(1) http://www.nybrewsupply.com/3-8-x-25-stainless-steel-wort-chiller.html
(2) http://www.nybrewsupply.com/stainless-steel-wort-chiller-pre-chiller.html
My question is: why would you want to go with (1) and have all your coils within 6 inches of each other, vs (2) which seems to give a more even cooling throughout your pot?
The only reason I can think of is if you are using a boil kettle that would have less than 12" of wort in it at the end of your boil.
Thoughts?
