If you could have any object turned into a tap handle, what would it be?

Thanks..... I see a trip to Home Despot at lunch in the future.....

I picked up a tap, die, drill bit set from Lowes about a week ago. It includes the size for handles as well as the other sizes I needed/wanted. Think it was about $50 (don't remember exactly). Worth looking into. I would also check at Sears for a good set.

Seems to me vintage/antique athletic trophies would have some cool parts on the. Not the cheap crappy plastic and plated ones of modern times, but those brass and bronze or at least pot metal ones of 20-30 years ago.

You can find them in junk stores, antique stores, and garage and estate sale.

How about a Magic 8 ball

Magic 8 ball should I have another Beer? ...... Signs point to yes

Or a Rubik Cube

Korn's microphone stand. Kind of creepy but would definitely be a conversation piece.

I think the poop monster would also be cool for like a stout

Buddy Christ from Dogma would make a cool tap handle.

HA!! I just did this last night and posted a new thread about it today. I didn't know how many other people had the same idea. :mug:

I logged on because I was thinking yesterday that all these old fishing rods I have from my bass tournament days must have a use, and that lead to wondering if anyone had ever used the handle as a tap handle. Didn't see one here, but did get to read one long and entertaining thread.
I have it in my head that these handles, with baitcasting reels attached, would make some pretty cool tap handles for a fishing-themed bar. Only thing stopping me is an almost complete lack of cash. Money sucks. Well, ok, money doesn't suck...the lack of it sucks.

Brass knuckles would be cool. A few people have mentioned them.

My idea would be an old hood ornament. In the 20's and 30's there were some pretty sweet looking ornaments. Hudson, Packer, Chrystler, etc.

Either one of these would be sweet.

At first I thought that was a crazy-looking lightsaber handle.

Speaking of which, a lightsaber would make a sweet-looking tap handle, like this one.

Uh oh... I got the Tenth Doctor and the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdrivers for my daughters for X-mas....

I wonder if they would notice on of them missing.

;)

I got the eleventh doctors for Christmas....
I think I have a project when I get home

Perhaps in a snug fitting cup so if anything needs soniced it comes away easy but not too easy

I spent the second half of my work day trying to figure this out.
Just figured out out. My screwdriver is a real screwdriver, sooooo I just need to adapt the tap thread to a hex rod of the appropriate size.

Hector...OH! Allow me to explain: The shrunken head that I received while an Advisor in South America during my Army years. Since he was a shabby excuse for an enemy soldier, maybe he'd serve as a better tap handle...

" If you could have any object turned into a tap handle, what would it be?"

Are accountants considered objects ?

I submit for the approval of the board. (I still have some improvements in mind, but it's proof of concept, at the least)
