I have always wanted to make wine since my 9th grade health teacher told us about making wine from orange juice (back in the '80s). I finally this past Christmas decided to try store bought apple juice (the ones in the glass carboys), cup of sugar, and teaspoon of bread yeast. It turned out pretty decently. In the past I have made tinctures using vodka and fresh herbs and spices for their healing properties. Thanks to the Ukraine / Russia war, my state has banned the sale of my preferred vodka. So I am hoping to be able to extract the medicinal properties of the herbs / spices through wine making.
