Been off the bike a few days now. Just stretching (and walking the dog) during the weekend because I played golf Sunday, and then just two strength workouts yesterday.
So today I re-started Ben's 5-day split, did a core, and figured with fresh legs I should go for it on a
45-minute 90s Rock Ride with Jess King. Managed to beat my PR by 31 kJ, and it was the first time I've eclipsed 250 watts average for a ride >30 minutes.

@Rodent I can say that this is really all due to the long-duration PZE classes I frequently take. They talk in the classes about the endurance work being the foundation of the pyramid, and I have to say that it's made a huge difference for me to build the foundation.
And on the bright side, I've been somewhat plateaued on weight loss for easily a couple of months now. I started in the 275-280 range, and seemed to stall in the 260-265 range for a good long while. I think a lot of this was due to not really trying to monitor diet, but also due to adding in a bunch of strength work so I was building muscle--I could say that the strength work was showing up in my physique if not on the scale. But I had a day last week at 259.8, and today was 259.0, so maybe I'm breaking through that plateau!
Seems strange that I'm coming up on almost a year of the Peloton now. But it's already up there as one of the best decisions I've ever made.
