I'm using a glass gallon jug for my yeast starter. I put the cap on loosely and it looks like the krausen pushed the cap off at some point during the night. It is wlp001 going into an IIPA. I'm thinking the contamination risk is pretty low and even lower since it is going into such a strong hoppy beer. Thoughts?

Ive had the foam sponge on my starter blow off and krausen gush out overnite......and didnt have an issue,......you should be fine...at that point CO2 on top of starter is protecting yeast from contaminents quite well....

Yeah happen to me several times before not infection problems, I was however worried about affects on my pitch rate though.
