Currently I am doing mostly extract brews with this brew pot:

I am looking at adding a 1/2 ball valve fitting and thermometer, but was unsure of the best way to do this. I was just about to order some things from northernbrewer, and was hoping some one with experience might give me some pointers. Thanks in advance!

there realy is no need to add a ball valve to that pot. wait to get a bigger pot or a keggle to add a ball valve. the main point from what i have discovered for balll valves is to drain them when you cna't pick them up. being on the fact that you aren't able to put more than 4 gallons and boil down to probably 3-3.2 there really probably isn't a reason you can't pick it up

Thanks; I was thinking a weldless fitting I could use in a bigger pot then. I'll just wait.
