bottom of the boil stuff - chuck it in?

hey all the grain particles and hops etc. do you guys put it all into your fermenter or do you just leave that last bunch of stuff out???
 
I'd avoid it by whilpooling it to the center and running off from a ball valve on the kettle.

But it probably doesn't make much difference. Read this.
 
I have done it both ways. I usually do 10 gal batches and split into 2 fermenters but I have noticed that if you are doing an IPA the one that gets all the "junk" has been more hoppy. I think it's whatever works for you. Different process will result in a different amount of clearness at each stage.
