cherry sour, weird growth in bottles

So my cherry sour is developing what looks like a pellicle or infection in the bottle, I used belgian lambic blend, but my previous batches never had this. Is there a health/bottlebomb worry here?

are laundromats really that big a thing in the US?

So I'm just a dumb euro-poor :D and I'd never knew that the whole going to the laundromat/building washing machine was common in the US, i thought it always was just a thing in new york tv-series. We don't really have anything like that here, except for some specialty services for big carpets or...

Starsan works great for removing burnt malt stains

So was trying to scrub the bottom of my kettle from the usual caked on spots above the elements and got lazy so just sprayed some starsan on and left it for a while. A while turned into next day due to the above lazyness and I noticed that once it dried, you could just peel off the spots as it...

    Finally got a dedicated brewspace!

It's not quite ready, but usable as is. Still needs a dedicated 16A socket next to where the kettle will be and proper exhaust, for now i'll just run a cord from the washingmachine spot and open a window :) Electric kettle will go on the lower bench next to the window, so it is the exact right...

some initial questions from someone starting to look into kegging...

So, finally we are getting our whole house to ourselves(used to rent out the second apartment). This means I'll have space for a kegerator and can start kegging. Living in Finland, the choices are a bit more limited(shipping from the US is just too expensive on bigger stuff)...

hops from the forest, gonna brew a very simple beer to dryhop and see if they're any good.

Found a hopplant 2 years ago in a piece of forest near our house after the electric company had dug up a trench for putting all the wiring underground(finally after several storm-related blackouts). From historical maps, I found out there used to be a farm there before our neighbourhood was...

    Growing WAAAY up north(savonlinna, finland)

Been growing for few years yet, mostly northern brewer that i bought and split over the years. The main, front of the house hop is now 5 years old and doing well, there's also a smaller 2 year old one on our terrace and last something I found in a nearby forest that hopefully will produce enough...

white christmas wheat beer, input needed

As my christmas porter is in the cellar aging, i've been thinking of using some leftover honey and making a "near-braggot" wheat beer, spicing it to get some wintery feel. base recipe would be something like: 5 gallons 5 lb wheat malt 4 lb pale malt 3 lb honey 1 oz hallertau at 60 mins. .5 oz...

    app for beer style?

Is there any app or software that can take a recipe and find what style it is? I tend to throw together a lot of my recipes and it would be fun to have something that matches the relevant style to the beer i make.

    dark crystal / crystal 150

A recipy I'm cloning (brewdog jet black heart) is asking for both dark crystal and crystal 150, not specifying firms that make it. As far as I can see, these are the exact same thing?

    Flaked barley?

For some reason the local brewstores seem to think that flaked barley is slightly more expensive than unicorn horn....is it ok to just use storebought flaked barley? such as: https://www.oatletstore.com/collections/flakes/products/nalle-wholegrain-barley-flakes-700-g they are even cheaper...
