Pennsylvania Selling 2 tap kegerator with all the goodies and separate tank/reg/corny

Selling my 2 tap Kegerator along with 2 clean "corny" kegs and a mostly full CO Tank. Also has a splitter with individual shut offers, Perlick faucets, and chalk board taps. Great for homebrew where you don't want to dedicate a full sized fridge for kegs. $275 I also have another corny keg...

Rust from Starsan. What can I do?

Had a very nice Double-mesh Stainless Strainer that I used a few times. Noticed some minor rust around the fringe then went to brew again and the basket was rusty. Didn't think about the cause till my wife pointed out the acid in the Starsan. My question now is what options do I have to avoid...

Possible for fermentation to be done in 3 days???

Brewed Austin Homebrew's budget Kolsch on the 2nd. OG was 1.046 with a goal OG of 1.044. Took my FG today (1/5) to check on it and it's already at 1.013 with the goal being 1.011. It's a low Gravity beer and very light. I also went a little crazy practicing doing yeast starters. I did a single...

    Feedback on Temps

Last night I brewed Austin Homebrew's Bourbon Oaked Imperial Stout. All seemed to go very well. I nailed the OG at 1.087. Only problem was I cooled the wort down too much after adding chilled water to bring it up to 5.25 gallons. It was at 61* when I went to bed. The instructions say that Having...

    First Starter Yeast...This foam normal?

Cooked up my first starter yeast about 3.5 hours ago. 1/2 cup Light DME with 2 cups of water. Pitched 2 packs Wyest Irish 1084. It's foaming crazy hard. When I was typing this I went ot check on it to find the foam stopped popped off. I turned off the stir plate. Is this normal?

    Completely cleaning old carboy

So I have a 5 gallon carboy that is older than me. It's from when my parents made wine before they were married. Anyway, it's got about an inch by 1/4" of white stuff at the bottom that I cannot get out. Have tried the brush, PBW a number of times and the handle of my paddle. Got most of it out...

    Mystery ABV on my brew!

I brewed Northern Brewing Smashing Pumpkin. Instead of the 2 rahr my LBS had I think 6 rahr. Used 3# of that and 8# of fresh pumpkin. Broke my hydrometer before I could take OG. Took first reading 10 days later and got 1.050. Had some fermentation issues so added Wyeast #1056 on 9/27 and again...

    Regulator Broken?

Just kegged my first batch. I bought the system from a HB guy getting out of brewing. He told me the tank pressure never worked correctly. I just refilled the Co2 tank and it still reads refill. Is gauge just broken and needs to be replaced possibly?

    Smashing Pumpkin Stalled?

Brewed Smashing pumpkin with a minimash of 3# rahr 6 row, 8# pumpkin and 1/2#Briess Caramel 40. Couldn't get OG because I broke the hyrdrometer as I went to test. Brew date was 9/15. Tested 9/25 with a SG of 1.050. 9/27 1.046. Added American Ale #1056 on 27th. Tested 9/29 1.040. 10/5 at 1.030. I...

    Wood Fermentation Cabinet

I got into brewing as a father's day gift from my wife this year. As with anything I am very interested in I got very addicted and want to do it 100% right. So with us owning a small house it was getting messy having fermentation buckets and carboys sitting on the floor in my office. I also have...

    2nd batch yummy!

First batch was a basic Pale Ale. Very inconsistent. Some bottles very good. Some odd. I think the cleaner I used stuck to some of the bottles. I brewed a Belgian Tripel for my wife. Tasting the first bottle and I think it tastes terrific. Will leave it for another week or two to carbonate more...

    Saison Question

Ok, 3rd brew is a Saison extract kit. Brewed on 8/9 at night. From past experiences I used a blow off tube. I was away all weekend so I didn't hear any bubbling from the active fermentation. Checked the bucket yesterday and there was about 1" of stuff on the sides but no other signs of Krausen...

What's going on with my fermentation? Done?

Brewing Monk in the Yunk Belgian Tripel recipe from Keystone Homebrew in PA. Brewed on the 15th. Had a blow out and had to remove airlock and use siphon tube for blow off tube. Stats: Recipe Actual OG 1.085 1.080 7/15 (Brew day) 1st 1.020 7/29 FG 1.018...

When to remove blow off and when to transfer to secondary?

Sorry if this is a completely noob set of questions. I am brewing a Belgian Tripel. I had to us my siphon tube into santizer for blow off after it blew all over my home office. Oops. The bubbling has slowed down dramatically from yesterday. I brewed it on Monday. So my questions. When do I...

    Holy Blowoff Beerman

Well I if nothing else I am consistent with blow offs! My first batch I accidentally tried to ferment in a 5 gallon carboy. On my way out the door for a business trip I caught it overflowing slowly. I moved into the 6 gallon bucket and reset the air lock. This time I brewed yesterday afternoon...

    Rookie brewer, master beer drinker

Howdy folks. Jumping into the forums here to hopefully learn and figure out things as I progress. I'll be bottling my first batch tomorrow night. It's an American Pale Ale from Brewers Best. Made some mistakes (fermented for 36 hours in 5 gal carboy then emergency transferred to 6.5 gall...
