    8 days after posting my picture, the krausen dropped. bottled after 14 days in secondary. Can't wait to see how it turns out...

    Racking to Secondary

    I didn't see anything on this, so I thought I would ask. Anybody have a good technique for keeping the tube down at the bottom of the carboy when racking from primary to secondary (or to bottling bucket for that matter). I figure the best way to prevent splashing is to get the tube submerged...

    Thanks for the pictures, Jethro. Interesting to see that much krausen floating at the top of your secondary after two weeks and that it didn't drop. How did the flavor turn out?

    Making my first attempt at fruit beer, cherry wheat. I put cherry puree in the secondary (and this is the picture). Is this just krausen forming in the secondary?
