    Just an update to wrap this thread up if anybody is still checking in... We ended our vacation up in Apple Valley at my sisters house, I was telling my brother in law about my hunt and he made a couple of phone calls and low and behold.....FOUND IT!! in apple valley at a hole in the wall gas...

    Well we were in Venice for the day just screwing around yesterday before we could get checked into our room here in Anaheim at Disneyland... Now that's where were at.

    Thought I might have lucked out at the whole foods in Venice, they were expecting a shipment but it hadn't arrived yet.... so close..so close. The hunt continues. If nothing else, I'll find it on tap and at least get to try it before I leave.:tank:

    HELP>>> I'm from Texas and am in Los Angeles on vacation with the family and am trying to track down some PTE in bottles while I'm here but am having a hard time.. Any Southern California folks out there that can help a fella out??:mug:

    Yep, I'm going to replace my racking cane and tubing for sure.. and I have been throwing out all of the bottles that I open that have the "funky flavor"... On a side note: Cant wait until I get moved so I can go ahead and start kegging!!

    Thanks for all of the info and responses!! @croyzen, this latest batch is a cream ale.. (first summer brew) and I used bottled water this round. As I open more bottles, I am noticing that not all of the 12oz'ers have it so now an infection is leading the race!! haha.. so, as I open to...

    I drink Shiner bock on occasion too.. what would a good representative of a bock style beer that I could get my hands on here in Texas?? I have had a homebrewed dopplebock that was absolutely fantastic!! but commercially, what are some suggestions?? Thanks,

    I have been brewing for about 2 or 3 years now, all grain.. In my last couple of batches I've noticed the same "off flavor" in my finished beers. clean and sterilize-check, cooling to proper pitching temps-check, fermentation temperature control per style-check.. Its a sort of funk almost soury...

    I agree totally, some questionable managing decisions made for sure. I myself like Ross over Salty anyways. Errors lose games.point blank.

    Wow what an ending!!!! I saw what the official rule is on a play like that and have to admit that if that's all there is to it...the ump probably made the right call, But.. Wheres the counter about the play in question happening out of the baseline?

    I fermented at around 68 deg ambient..it claims to be in range up to 77. I'll let you guys know if I taste any bananas. Thanks for the advise. I'll just prime and bottle as usual.

    A Yankee fan giving kudos to Boston?? Nice!! Most NY fans I know wouldn't pick the Sox to win if they had Jesus on the mound!! Lol. They are pretty tough though!!

    adding yeast at bottling question

    On 10/10..got it off the yeast yesterday and was thinking of leaving it in there for a couple weeks to clear up a little, then crash and bottle... I don't plan on cracking one open for a couple months after bottling at least as I'm sure that it'll prolly take awhile to mature.
