    Pouring Question

Ok, so here is the scene: (Haier Beer Meister, 5 ft beer tubing, perlick faucet, CO2 psi @ 10, temp about 38-40*) Over the past 2 kegs (Victory Storm King Stout and Flying Fish Abbey Dubbel) I have been getting a big burst of air/foam and then a creamy head coming out of the faucet then turm...

No more big beers for me

Over the past few months I have had Victory Moonglow and Storm King Stout on tap. Very yummy, but very intoxicating. I found that I was drinking and just getting druck rather than enjoying the beverages. I have decided to go the route of lower ABV beers. Next up Hopfish IPA by Flying Fish...

    Christmas Lights

SWMBO and the KWMBO talked me into icicle lights last year. For the record, I HATE ladders....we have a rancher. Apparently the clips are only meant for 1yr. Had some left over from last year but it wasnt enough. Of course the ones the bridal unit bought werent the same or they didjnt make...

Can someone talk me out of this?

Buying this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8753743&type=product&id=1202649765592 I know I dont need it, but its pretty cheap and I have been wanting one for the basement. The wife said last night, "I dont care if you get it, just as long as you know you will be mounting it on...

Jockey Box Question/ My beer guy is the BEST!

My wife is making me have a graduation party for myself for completing grad school for educational leadership and possibly having a job by the end of next week, but I digress... I called my beer guy today to get a keg of Miller lite and a micro. He informs me that the Victory Sunrise Weiss...

    Keg Pump Question

While milling around the garage this morning, I found my old college Keg Pump. B/c we all know what happens when you introduce regular old air to a keg, it becomes crap and undrinkable. So I started to take apart the pump and thought "Could I run CO2 through this?" I think that I can as it...

    Best time to brew

I am thinking of taking the plunge into brewing. I am done my grad studies and have 3 day weekends. I know that my neighbor used to brew in fall and if I remember correctly he did so b/c of the temps. Is this correct or can you brew year round?

    Can you fill a NO2 tank w/ CO2?

I have an NO2 tank (plus gas) left over from some bareknuckle stout. I was wondering once the NO2 was used up if I could refill the tank w/ CO2 and use it as a back up. Seems like it would be a shame to sell/ donate/ toss a perfectly good regulator and tank. Thoughts suggestions etc?

    DryWall Question

My wife has me doing some work in the house. So I have a hallway w/ some crazy angles. Needless to say I take all my measurements and make my cuts (pretty well I might add) then I discover that I didnt transfer them to the other opposite way (if that makes sense). So now I have the brown side...

    Home Project...

Can it be less than 400.00:confused: Today I manged to drop 400+ on sheetrock and some other "stuff" for a very small hallway. Our house was built in the 50's when wallpaper everywhere was the thing. So rather than try to strip it (tried it w/ my daughters room) i figured it was easier to...

    Any body else...Doing yard work

Doing yard work:eek: Must of been close to 50 today. Worked on my paper this morning for my thesis (trying to graduate in May), then was gonna take the kids to practice their baseball/ softball but that got whacked as the kids lost my glove:(. So instead I: cut all the ornamental grasses...

    CO2 vs "Beer Gas" Question

Having some guys over this weekend for a pool tournament. My biggest concern is running out of CO2 in the meister (nothing worse than running out w/ a house full of people wanting beer). I do have a tank of "beer gas" left over from when I was running Bare Knuckle Stout. Can I use this in a...

    Fios Question

My buddy just got it and said that the pic was great, even on standard tv. Today I called just to get a price and I got Internet, TV, and Phone. Included in the tv is HBO and movies (apparently its a boatload, Encore, Showtime etc.) Sports Pack (dunno if I will keep it), whole house DVR and 3...

    Corian Repair Question

We have a Corian tub surround in our bathroom. My daughter managed to break off one of the shelves (the shelf fits into a slot). I called the guy that put it in and he said to use silicone to reattach it. Tried that along w/ some tape and it didnt hold. I thought of using liquid nails but...

    Grolsch Bottle Question

I was wondering if you could fill a couple of bottles w/ keg beer and transport? I like to take my own beer when i know that they will only have a macro that I dont care for, but sometimes a growler is too much. Anyone do this? If so, what were the results?

    How long for tapped kegs?

I am heading out to the beer store this week to get a 1/6 of Victory Moonglow and a 1/6 of Victory Lager. I havent beer drinking a lot of beer as of late. Literally takes me a couple of months to get through 2 1/6's. So I ask, how long can I keep these bad boys chilled and on CO2 before they...

    Equipment Question

I have been pondering homebrewing and I have made up a few lists of stuff that I want. I am leaning towards the either the Midwest or Northern Brewing 2 carboy kit. I can afford to part w/ 200.00. Then I started to add things in, a 7.5 gal kettle, wort chiller, keg, and a kit. Before I knew...

    Hi, from Glassboro NJ

Just wanted to say hi! I have been thinking of homebrewing brewing. Did it a couple of AG's with the neighbor (well he did it, I sat and drank beer and smoked cigars). He moved away but not before the bug got me. Been reading a bunch of stuff in the noob section. Just trying to find the time...
