Is it the meter, or wrong calibration?

I have started use a pH meter when brewing, and I had an issue brewing yesterday. Some background, I use a Hanna 98128 meter that is stored properly and have no problem calibrating. I also have Bru n' Water to use and a report from Wards. When I started yesterday and had the meter calibrated...

Saturday I made two 5g batches of cider and the one on left has s05 and the one on the right has wlp 775. That's the only difference, is it caused by the yeast?

I have a wilser bag that needs a good home

Yes, I have a wilser bag that I won't be using anymore and I want to give to someone. The thing is that it will only fit a Bayou Classic 44 qt kettle. I also have an extra hop bag that I will send out as well. I can tell you first hand that these bags are damn good and Mike stands behind them...

    Starter liquid

I have read that you are supposed to dump most of the liquid from a starter and leave just enough to make a slurry but is there anything wrong with dumping all the liquid in there?

I put hops in too early. Problem?

I am brewing BM Centennial Ale and messed up and put my 2nd addition of Centennial (.25 oz.) hops in too early and they will be in for 40 mins instead of 20. Is this going to make it too hoppy or will it work out?

How to find the production date

I want to make a starter and was going to use White Labs California Ale WLP001. When I go to yeastcalc it asks for the production date, all I can find on the vial is a "Best by date" of 8-24-13. This isn't the date I want to use is it? And if not how can I find out the right date?
