Third time around with this - still a great spring beer! Had a neighborhood cleanup party over the weekend followed by a great bbq. The Kolsch was the hit of the party!
Bathtub full of cool water and some ice every now and then works well. If you don't already have a stick-on thermometer get one and that way you will be able to monitor your temps thru fermentation.

As long as you like instant coffee instead of fresh ground, and canned vegetables instead of fresh - go for it. It's kinda like cooking, once you figure out how to cook with fresh ingredients you won't go back.

Several of our local pubs have Rogue brews on tap, a pint goes for about $4.50. We also have Mac-N-Jack, Mannys, Iron Horse and others (Seattle area - tons of craft beer!).
When it gets hot I fill the bathtub in our master bath with water and put the fermenters in. Keeps them at about 66 degrees - good stuff!

Stir like crazy as I add the grain to the 168 degree H2O, place the floating thermometer, set timer for 30 minutes, check temp and stir it up again, sparge at 60 minutes. Stir throughout sparging. Get 85% + efficiency. I Mill at 35 thousands.
