I have the same question. I'm looking to do a maple porter and I'm concerned that adding it to the fermenter, it won't blend. Any thoughts?

Glad to hear yours worked out! I will post the recipe. I aerated it just by hand; splashing tossing it back and forth between the bucket and pot. I used California ale yeast (liquid) and I did make a starter for it. Og was 1.110
I brewed an imperial stout (extract) 7 weeks ago. My recipe calculator suggested a final gravity of 1.026 but it's stuck at 1.033. Do I pitch more yeast or is this ok?
Don't worry too much. When you open the lid check to see if there is some krausen on sides or take a gravity reading to make sure it's fermenting. I've had a couple beers fully ferment with relatively no air lock activity.
I brewed a very similar extract recipe 3 weeks ago. I was thinking of racking some off into my 1 gal fermenter. How much coca nibs and vodka did you use? Why do you soak the nibs in vodka?
Just had someSouthern Tier Creme Brûlée that my gf paired with a homemade apple crisp. Awesome pairing! Then some home brewed double IPA followed by a heady topper. Great night!
I'm new to kegging. I just tapped my first keg of double IPA. my problem is that hops keep clogging the spring in the poppet. I can barely get a couple ounces through before it clogs again. Then I have to depressureize it and take the poppet off to clean out.
. Any suggestions or do I need to...
