You could just pick up a 2 way co2 manifold and run a low pressure standard hose into your fridge. That way you keep the tank and your current reg outside the fridge.
Not sure what your trying to say here, or what particular o ring failed on you.
Before you start looking at o ring material. Make sure they were the right size and that you used keg lube.
same happened to me. htought it was the power supply turned out to be stuck. I now pull it apart after a brew, clean and let it dry before putting it back together again.
Pretty sure thats what its for. pop off the pastic hinge cover rmove the hinge, and I bet there is a plug under there. There has to be a plug somewhere for that
I vote unplug before hacking things up.
as rccola said, I mixed it with my dry grain before tossing it all in my mash tun. It fully converts to sugars. The wort is cloudy this freaked me out the first time,but all of that clears in the fermentor. I batch sparge with a cooler. Maybe a direct fire tun might have problems with scorching...

here is my report for my 3rd version of ab. I'm still in the c150 club. A couple changes to my process. I am now using a pump to whirlpool and decrease my cooling times quite a bit from just stirring with an immersion chiller. I am kegging now also. I really like chasing this recipe.
