Pitched harvested Wyeast 1203-PC Burton IPA Blend from previous brew. Anyone dry hop this beer? I was thinking after 2-3 weeks primary to keg and...

    Weizenbock stuck/slow fermentation

Yeah, NG. whoops forgot my mash schedule: 113F for 20 min, infusion to 154F for 60 min, decoction mash out 168F hold for 10 min, sparge @ 168F. I kind of hate to go throw some more yeast at this. Should I just culture some from the slurry and build up a starter? thanks

Easily. When you are just starting out all grain brewing there are a several hundred new 'details' one has to pay attention to. Broken Glass Carboy Horror Stories Compendium

My university has access to past issues of Zymurgy (lucky me). I was perusing an issue from 2010 where a letter described the dangers of glass carboys. Happened that someone nearly cut off their hand from one, doing a simple cleaning procedure in a sink. I got to thinking, my god i love this...

    Boh Pilsner infected?

Hi all, I brewed a second 5gal batch of Bohemian pils from harvested yeast from the first batch (wyeast urquell 2001). Washed the yeast made a starter, had some good airlock activity from day 2-5 in 49-51F basement, not as robust as the first batch but it was there. OG 1.044, after week and half...

    Stuck fermentation Belgian Tripel

Hi lowog sorry for late reply. I never did pitch another batch of yeast. I just hoped for the best and bottled. That was two half weeks ago, and the beer tastes remarkably good! Carbonated well a bit of a bite and little too sweet for my liking, but that just be the nature of this kit. So I...
