Hey all! I'm always looking forward to use new hops. I start with doing a basic pale ale with that one hop, then go from there. I'd like to try the zythos hop.

To my understanding it is a high AA hop mostly used for bittering and it resembles to Citra or even sorachi with its lemony flavor.

I am asking you guys because I tried both citra and sorachi in the past and it gave me more of a grapefruit flavor and a lemon flavor. Anyone tried it? Could you give me a personal opinion on it?

I used them in an IPA before when Amarillo's were hard to get. Can't say it was a perfect exact substitute to them but it was still delicious. It's similar to the Falconers and 7 C's, being a blend of hops. I think it's Amarillo, simcoe, citra and something else. None the less try them in an IPA or pale ale and you won't be sorry.
