Would anyone know what dried yeast is used in this kit?
I was hoping to work out what the best pitching temperature would be.
Thanks

Just saw a video of "everything you need to know" on youtube about this kit. Looks like the yeast packet just says "west coast yeast" (BTW do not watch this video. Just about everything the dude does is wrong! haha)

usually with wlp001 (white labs west coast ale liquid yeast) you want it between 65-68 F degrees and sa05 (safale west coast dry yeast) you want it slightly lower but more or less the same. 64-68 degrees F.

Not just for pitching, the beer is best fermented at those temps @bobeer mentioned. Use some form of temperature control to keep it there. Then raise a few degrees toward the end of fermentation, when things have slowed down, to let her finish out and start conditioning and leave it there for a week. Do not use secondaries! Regardless of what the kit mentions.

This is likely the yeast being used: Safale US-05 if you want to look it up.
