Not just for pitching, the beer is best fermented at those temps @bobeer mentioned. Use some form of temperature control to keep it there. Then raise a few degrees toward the end of fermentation, when things have slowed down, to let her finish out and start conditioning and leave it there for a week. Do not use secondaries! Regardless of what the kit mentions.I was hoping to work out what the best pitching temperature would be.
