Three brewing related items for Yooper's weekend in Chicago:

In the heart of the evil empire - Chicago's MillerCoors downtown office building, at a monthly event they call Beer Unleashed, featuring this month beers from their brewery in San Diego, Saint Archer.

Brewing at the CHAOS brewhouse, the only club in the country that has built out and maintains its own brewhouse for members. We currently have about 100 brewing members. We were brewing an imperial stout with three other brewers as part of a barrel project.

Touring Dovetail Brewing, a new German-centric brewery on Chicago's northside that uses coolships and open fermentation. Note the shiny cooper in the left background.

Love Dovetail. The brewers are great, and the beer is too. I do love their German beers but can't wait to try some of their sours when they are "ripe".
