Dry yeast only loses around 4% of its viability each year if refrigerated. Just get it out and put it on the counter a few hours before brewing and then rehydrate it in warm tap water before pitching.

Put it in some luke warm water for 20-30 minutes. That's the length of time I do it anyway.
