Yeast Revival?

Ok, so I have a WYeast XL North American lager in my fridge. I will be brewing next weekend.

Will it expand?


Oh ya, it has a best before date of April 2006. And it was delivered in a heat wave last summer.

Well.

It expanded. After 4 days of nothing - it swelled to the max on Sunday.

Already made it on Sunday...its going strong
It looks like cold weather for this week..but I plan on brewing anyway.
