I'm planning on making an all-citra IPA tomorrow afternoon. I'll be making the starter this afternoon. My question is, should I go with an older vial WLP001 (expiration date is March 15) or a nice fresh vial of 051, which is pretty fresh (expiration date is April 5). Which one would you go with?

I'm sure both yeasts will make excellent IPAs. I believe WLP001 is based on the Chico strain, which is some people's go to IPA's. Use the yeast that's going to expire sooner and save the newer yeast for something West coast inspired?
