I have been making wine for about 15 years, I have never had a recipe that tickled my fancy ...so...I just wing it. Everybody loves it (some a little to much) I taste as I go but that's all I drink. Sure do love making it though.

Welcome, GG! I'm a 'wing it' kind of cook and for brewing always start with a recipe but usually sub out parts of it based on the ingredients I have on-hand. I almost never buy ingredients for a particular recipe.

Welcome to the group. I made a couple of batches of wine, for next one I've told those who want to "share" that they can kick in for ingredients and "joint winemake" with me. Per bottle, it isn't very expensive, but after you've given away cases of wine it does get a little old.
