Hey guys,

Long time brewer, first time wine guy. I'll try to keep this short:

If I had a nitrogen system, can I keg wine without carbonating it?

My family wants more wine and less beer, so I said I would start making wine. I like to bottle gifts, but keg everything else. So having never made wine, is there something I'm not considering? If I could keg wine and just bottle holiday gifts, my life would be easier.

I don't own a nitrogen system, but a yes would seal the deal on buying a set up.

Any advice is appreciated.

I know that folks keg wine. What I don't know is if the preferred gas is nitrogen or argon. I think it might be argon but I don't know why nitrogen wouldn't work.

Well thanks guys. Just when I thought I had everything a brewer needs, I can justify to my wife, 'one more' thing. :rockin:

I have a Blichmann Beer Gun, I imagine I could use this to fill the occasional bottle for holiday give aways?

Thanks again!
