Why does the search function suck?

I have a situation where my sour ale has a high FG after 3 months... no biggy... just jump on HBT and see if anyone has ever had a similar problem...

Search = "high FG cider"

Search results omit "high" and "FG" because those words apear a lot... showing results for "cider"...

Not flocking helpful.

I have much more sympathy for people posting topics that have been covered 1000 times because the search sux.

It's true, the site search functions leave a lot to be desired.

Use the Drop-Down Google version of the search. Go to the search thing at the top, and drop down the menu. Type your search parameters in the Google box. Viola!

You can also use

But I think @masonsjax has the appropriate way to make it happen.

Google actually works quite well. Thanks for the suggestions.
