I recently swapped out my old aluminum turkey fryer (which had a spigot built into it) for a setup using a $40 1800W standalone induction cook top and $38 5-gallon 18/10 stainless steel stock pot. Here's the pot: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EZS5PEO/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

My first PM brew with the new setup was fine (certainly better than using my electric stove), but I missed having a spigot real quick. I decided I'm not doing another brew until I can put one on. I'm looking at the HomeBrewStuff 1/2" stainless weldless bulkhead assembly for $24: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00420WMUU/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

I don't currently have a step bit, so I would need to get one of those in addition to the bulkhead. Neiko has some HSS bits with titanium coating with good reviews on Amazon, but I'm not sure if they'll do the job and even if they will, which one to get. The bulkhead calls for a 7/8" hole, so does it make sense to get this $8 bit that maxes out at 7/8" (and therefore ensuring I won't drill too big)? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RP4B76/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

Thoughts and/or suggestions? Thanks!

That would likely work.. but If you're at all handy, or can follow instructions, I can't recommend enough using pull-through/soldered fittings at brewhardware.com

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=556844

bulkhead fittings tend to be a pain -- breaking them down, putting them back together, leaks, etc.. I still use them on my Boil and MT because these pull-through fittings didn't exist when I put my bulk-head fittings on.. and I can't switch to pull-throughs because my holes for the bulkheads are too big! so I only have them on my HLT.. again, I can't say enough about how awesome they are. only thing that would be better is if they were welded.. but I don't think it would be much better..
