I don't think they make them for cornies. You'd have to find an actual 1/6 sanke keg.
I think they might - I got exactly that from a local brewery when I ordered a keg recently. It was a corny keg (posts seemed to be covered with something) and a sankey connection on the lid (it appeared to be welded in?).

I've seen them plenty of times at breweries / distributors. The ones I've seen seem to be welded in place however. I haven't seen any that had a removable lid with a sankey connector. I think you would have to buy the keg that way.

They have to be welded since there is no rome for the latching hardware. Usually they are converted. Sabco sometimes has them. http://www.brew-magic.com/keg_spec_pubkeg.html currently out of stock though. Oh, and $70 ea.

The one you've shown is converted, but 90% of them are sold brand new like that (without the posts). http://www.chicompany.net/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=38

Big breweries use these all the time to allow people to sample their beer before devoting the space to an entire 1/2 barrel.

You can buy them for cheaper than a new corny. There is no conversion lid for them though. You'd have to buy it pre-made if you wanted to switch from ball/pin lock to sanke.

Yes, I know what a 1/6th barrel sankey keg is. But the op was looking to convert a cornie. I just don't think he realized that they have to be welded because there is no longer room for the latching mechanism.

They don't really need a latch if you apply pressure. Ever try getting a corny lid out with 2psi on the keg?

So you have to put the lid in then, before you apply pressure, you have to insert the sankey spear and retaining ring, connect a sankey coupler and engage it to get pressure in. I'm not saying it isn't possible, just a PITA. I guess a clever person would build some sort of jig to support the lid while assembling.
