Start my boil timer whenever I damn well feel like it! Usually when it gets to a boil though

Wow, this drew a crowd lol.

I get my wort almost to boiling then turn off the flame throw in my bittering hops. I then turn the flame back on and when it starts to boil which is within about 2 minutes usually I start my timer.
