I'm from Englewood. I just finished brewing an old family recipe for an Irish cream ale. This recipe has been in my family for centuries and it really smells like Christmas when it boils. Every time I show someone outside our family how to brew it they think I'm crazy. O.G. Is usually 1.150. 1.152 this year, and fermentation has got to be watched closely with that high of a sugar content(yeast gets stressed) but it is great tasting and very Irish if you know what I mean.;-)
I love brewing. It's a family tradition from both sides mom & dad,and both cultures German and Irish. I'm off to my LHBS tomorrow. Looking for a good pale ale recipe. Any ideas?
