HB Blonde Lite while watching the Montana/Montana State game. It’s claimed this is the longest-running intrastate rivalry in the US. Today is the 121st meeting of the two schools.

There's a bar in Denver where all the Montanans go to watch this game every year. Griz fans sit on one side bobcat fans on the other. My wife's family is from up that way (Billings and Anaconda).

Spent half the day blowing leaves. Came in for a break and check phone. Brewery a couple towns over in my hometown is having a 4th anniv party. Growing up there was a bunch of folklore stories about Babe Ruth that lived a couple of towns over and use to escape for shenanigans in my hometown. Common knowledge about a holiday party where a piano ended up in a pond by the end of the night. There was drinking involved.

The Babe was a wise man. Cheers to the Babe.

Had a huge busy day! Brewed a batch of NEIPA this morning. The kids helped and we ground and packaged about 50 pounds of last year’s deer meat, 15 pounds of beef burger and ground, seasoned and stuffed 20 pounds of deer summer sausage. Will smoke and cook the sausage tomorrow.
My daughter wanted a European skull mount of the deer she got this year so I did it for her. Started it last weekend and took it out of the peroxide wrap this afternoon. I think it turned out awesome. Got all the cleanup done and now my back is screaming at me. Had several Lites earlier and now some Irish before bed.

I taught myself to make old fashioneds, and made it a double. 4 oz of Whiskey, 4 splashes of bitters, half an ounce of homemade simple syrup, a cherry and a splash of juice from the jar. I used wild turkey 101 rye. There's a cherry in there somewhere sunk to the bottom lol
