Has anyone made a yeast starter with WLP500 (trappist ale) and apple juice?

I'm planning a batch of cider in a few days and I put a two month old vial of WLP500 in 2000ml of Kirkland's (pasteurized, no preservative) juice about 24 hours ago. I added a pinch of yeast nutrient that I boiled in some water. I oxygenated it with pure O2 and it is on a stir plate. The OG was 1.047.

I know not to expect any sort of krausen from the apple juice, but I'm not even seeing any CO2 bubbles escaping the mixture. I'm wondering if I got a vial of dead yeast.

I'm going to wait for the 48 hour mark and check the gravity, but has anyone else seen this sort of behavior in a juice starter?

I wouldn't be surprised if you never saw any signs of fermentation with that yeast and apple juice. Check the gravity, and you might be surprised to find it has fermented just fine.
