I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts/ideas on using the compressor and cooling reservoir from a water cooler to cool a fermentation chamber?

I have a old working water cooler that I would gladly tear apart and build a custom chamber. I'm curious as to if this will work or not.

Cheers!

How big of a chamber to you plan to build? If its going to work just like a freezer, do that (buy a freezer). If you want to use a chilled jacket, or a submersible cooling coil, this may work but only depending on the cooling capacity, batch size, insulated or un-insulated FV. How powerful is it? Basically, how many watts or amps does it use?
