So I washed a batch of wyeast American ale according to a thread on here using one big and 4 small mason jars . I'm going to make a 1 liter starter and pitch a small mason jar into it to get it going. I am also going to use a stir plate to help it grow. Does anyone know if the amount I'd be using in my starter will be adequate for a 5 gallon batch with a 1.056 gravity?
